Important Update for COUSASA

4 Apr by Adam Brown - Central Oregon USASA

Hello COUSASA family of shredders! Join us in congratulating all our snowboard athletes for the hard work they put in at USASA Nationals! If you got in the finals, top 10, or podium, please let us know via text and send us your best handful of vids/pics as soon as you can pretty please so we can spread the stoke. 📲

We’re also praying for safe travels both for those heading home, and for all our freeski athletes, coaches and families heading to Nationals today. Practice and the opening ceremonies and pizza party are tomorrow/Sat (yes, we said pizza party). 🍕

Also, this will be our last update to the mass group on our Team App about USASA Freeski Nationals so we don’t exhaust the regular series’ communication. IF you’re going to Nationals, or want to be in the know with some of the Nationals updates specifically with our series, then make sure you join the Stack Team App groups from our USASA Central Oregon series’ Team App (see below).

To ACCESS our COUSASA Nationals Team App Group: On your mobile device, open our USASA Central Oregon team in Team App, the simply click on the “My Details” and then under the “Member Of” section, make sure you’re in the COUSASA Freeski Nationals. If you don’t have your cell in your profile, you will only receive emails and not the text option, so we encourage you go into your profile and add your cell # for easier access. You can also go to: https://centraloregonusasa.teamapp.com/

For live links for scores, streaming, etc. be sure you’ve added “2025 National Championships” team on Team App too. They send out frequent updates daily so you’re in the know. Make sure you have your cell phone # in your profile as well for convenience, otherwise it will go to your email only.

USASA NATIONALS INFO: Please check out the 2025 Nationals Championship Team App and/or go to:

EARLY BIRD CHECK-IN (Freeski) and USASA Nationals Merch Store: Friday, April 4th, 10 am-5 pm.

PARADE + OPENING CEREMONIES:
FREESKI Week: Saturday, April 5: Wear this year’s Team Hoodies and meet as a group by the rock climbing wall in Center Village at 4:40 pm. Parents & coaches all encouraged to walk with our series. We also need help carrying the 3 flags (MBSEF will have them). Send us any good videos and pics when you can. We strive to be later in the parade line so we can leave easier after to go eat pizza together as a series (see below about pizza).

PIZZA PARTY LOCATION: It may be cold tomorrow, so you might be able to just head to the play room/lounge inside Sawmill on the backside.

PIZZA Gathering (pizza for our COUSASA Series’ Athletes & Coaches): Immediately after the Opening Ceremonies, we’re gathering as a series to connect all together to pump up the kids, encourage them to enjoy the moment and have fun this week, and of course give them pizza courtesy of our Central Oregon USASA. Can I get a parent or two help with this? Also, please let Adam know of any athlete allergies or special needs ASAP (541-797-9969). As you’ll find out, everyone will be pretty busy chasing riders around at Nationals, so this is a solid time to all be able to see each other and hang out for a bit.

COUSASA TEAM HOODIES, shirts (long & short sleeve), and two different style of hats: Did you miss the order deadline? We’ll reopen the Merch Store again in April for a specific amount of time so people can get their items purchased and represent. If you didn’t get your hoodie and missed the first pick up time/location, please text Adam: 541-797-9969. We’ll also schedule another one soon.

LIFT TICKETS
Athlete entry does not include an athlete lift ticket. Lift Tickets are $99, plus $5 (for the Copper card if needed), and are valid for seven days. Ikon Pass Holders with credentials can also access competitor lanes without purchasing the additional lift ticket.

WANT TO SKIP THE LINE, AND GET OUT AND SHRED? There are QR Codes all over. These are great for all the ticket needs. Ask our staff and volunteers where they are. (Friends and Family, Walking Lane, Competitor + more)

Again…If you have an IKON PASS or a COPPER PASS bring it!

Daily Competition formats and Schedules are confirmed nightly during the Team Captains Meeting with coaches (TCM). Schedules will posted on the Nationals Team App too.
