Hey Central Oregon USASA,
As we wrap up the winter season, we just want to say how much we appreciate all of you. This was one of the toughest seasons weather-wise that we’ve faced in the 18+ years we’ve been involved (and maybe ever), and for the first time maybe ever, we had to cancel events. None of us wanted that, but with historically low snowpack, difficult conditions, and the realities of what the mountain had to determine, we had to make the best calls we could under the circumstances. Even so, we stayed committed to serving you, our members well, and making the season the best we could for our athletes and families.

To all of our athletes, we’re proud of you for competing, sticking with it, and giving this season your all. Congrats as well on the success at USASA Nationals for those who went. We hope you had fun, made memories, and grew through the experience.

To our parents and families, we’re grateful for your time, travel, expense, encouragement, and support. We also really appreciate the handful of parents who stepped up to volunteer and help keep this nonprofit moving in the right direction while creating a fun, positive experience for our riders.

Many may not know this, but aside from our certified judges, Central Oregon USASA has been a volunteer-run nonprofit since we took over. And because we also appreciate the MBSEF coaches and what they do for your kids and their presence on course, we love to bless them with free Team Hoodies as a “thank you.” We're also stoked on the Mt. Bachelor event staff who helped bring the good times to our competitions. Further, we had encouraging conversations this season with the newer MBSEF Director, Kevin Perkey, and are hopeful those will lead to further collaboration and ideas in the months to come.

Speaking of our Team Hoodies, if you ordered one and were not at Nationals, we’ll be sharing pickup details soon to the email address you used when ordering. If you missed the online store, but would still like one, let us know, and if there’s enough interest, we may do another order.
