Reminder: 1 week before
Ends: 03:00pm (duration is about 3 hours)

Join us for Central Oregon USASA Rail Jams 1 (morn) & 2 (afternoon) at Woodward Bachelor on Saturday, February 19!!! Features are from beginner to advance to encourage riders of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to participate. We will have local Regional (Series) Champions, so your points matter, and you’ll need to do both events in this discipline to try and qualify as our Regional Champion in Rail Jam for your division. USASA will use your 3 best results in each discipline for National’s qualifications. ✔️

> REGISTRATION is now open for all of our comps, AND close Thursday at 5 pm before that weekend’s events. Like last season, registration is ONLINE ONLY, and we’re not able to do day-of registrations or changes.

📲 REGISTER for EVENTS HERE: https://bit.ly/USASARegistration21-22

> TAKE NOTE: No one is allowed on course unless they registered online for our USASA event(s), and are a current USASA member (and new this year is that all adults must also be US Ski & Snowboard Members, including volunteers, coaches and officials). Everyone must also be approved by the Series Directors first (including any media).

> EVENT LOCATION: Mt. Bachelor Events Arena (rider’s left of the Pine Martin Chairlift near West Village Lodge (main lodge). It’s literally just above the lodge and it is walkable/hike-able.

> EVENT COST: $30 online per event (non-refundable). Membership required & must be done online. (Let us know if finances are difficult.)

> CHECK-IN & DAY-OF REGISTRATION: There is no lodge check-in or day-of registration. Everything is online. Simply show up for your practice, heat, and/or time trial on time, and we’ll take roll before practices and heats. PLEASE keep traffic & weather in mind (we do get both).

> AWARDS for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for each age group. Awards are usually about an hour after the last rider in the last heat drops. We’ll update you more on our mandatory Zoom Rider’s Meeting about the process.

> PRIZES & SWAG: We’re striving once again to be able to give out swag to competitors day-of. We’ll update you more on our Zoom Rider’s Meeting. (If you know of any businesses that would like to partner, please let us know! And thanks again to our sponsors…so go “Like,” “Follow,” tag and interact with them, because they pay attention to it).

> USASA MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED for all riders and is done ONLINE ONLY: https://usasa.org/members/new. Also, please make sure you only have 1 membership in the USASA system or it will mess up your points and the system. Also make sure your series says: “Central Oregon USASA” if Mt. Bachelor / Bend, OR area is considered your “home” and you consider COUSASA your “home series.”

> RIDER’S MEETINGS: These are ONLINE and MANDATORY, usually at 7 pm on Thursday’s before that weekend’s events. Parents encouraged to attend with their riders. We will have drawings for those in attendance. We’ll send out the Zoom link to your membership email after registration closes (again, make sure your USASA membership email is correct and you don’t miss this so you can compete).

> MINI-RIDERS MEETING: On-course, day-of.

> WAIVERS: Mt Bachelor’s are included with your season pass or competition ticket.

> DISCOUNTED LIFT TICKETS: When applicable, please bring your USASA Bib to the ticket counter and you’ll get a competition ticket for $56 (13+ yrs old) and $46 (6-12 yrs old).

> BIBS: We have brand new Bibs this season from BlackStrap for all of USASA! If you didn’t pick up your bib yet, please contact csantana@usasa.org. Take Note: This will be your bib for the rest of the season…so don’t forget it. If you got a bib from another series, please let us know what #, since that’s your permanent bib. There will be a $20 fee if you forget or lose your bib and need a replacement. Bibs will need to be returned at the end of the season or there will be a $20 fee.

> SPECTATING: Is allowed, but must be outside the course, and please respect the roped off areas please.

> FOOD & DRINKS: Pack your lunch and hydration, or buy from the lodge or food carts up there (Have you tried Dump City Dumplings food cart?).

> USASA COVID-19 Competition Guidelines: Please read through the guidelines for this season if you haven’t already; it’s something you and your athlete need to be familiar with: https://usasa.org/covid-19 (Note: State & local regulations, and mountain policies supersede USASA Guidelines).

> TEAM APP: This is the main way we will communicate, esp day-of. Please sign up (AND ensure your cell # AND email are updated), pick our series, and add a note why (competitor, parent, etc…since membership isn’t public). https://centraloregonusasa.teamapp.com/

> COMPETITIONS, HEATS & PROCESSES: In general, we will have an open practice in the morning, then go into the heats. When there’s time, we strive to have a short practice after Heat 1 for Heat 2. Be diligent about showing up on time so you don’t miss your practice or drop times. We also upload the Competition Schedule on Team App.

> SAFESPORT: Any competitors, volunteers, coaches, officials…If you’re 18 years and older (and/or if turning 18 yrs. old mid-season) you must complete SafeSport per the USOC. (This can take time for the background check to go through, so don’t delay). Please follow all the instructions when registering, and get things done and sent promptly if you’re planning to be on course or compete. (See below for additional SafeSport details, and again, be sure to follow the steps laid out when becoming a USASA member.)
