Join us for a weekend of Boardercross + Skiercross (BXSX) at Woodward Bachelor / Mt. Bachelor on Sat, Jan. 14 (BXSX 1) and Sun, Jan. 15 (BXSX 2)!!! Courses are built with features for beginner to advance riders to encourage all ages and abilities, and we’ll be using a start gate and timing equipment (see below for more details). Do you want to qualify for Nationals, or do you want to try and become a Regional (Series) Champion? Well, your points count and matter, and you’ll need to do both of these BXSX events to try and qualify for USASA Nationals as our Regional Champion in BXSX for your age division. USASA will use your 3 best results in each discipline for National’s qualifications. ✔️
> REGISTRATION is open for All our comps, is ONLINE ONLY, AND closes the Thurs at 5 pm before that weekend’s events. We’re not able to do day-of registrations or changes, so plan ahead. (If you’re 18 or over, or will be this season, please see Safesport info the below.)

Everyone must also be approved by the Series Director first (including any media).
> HELMETS: Skicross helmets must be certified under both ASTM 2040 and EN 1077 [(class A – hard sided (due to ski poles)]. Not applicable for Boardercross helmets.)
> WAX: Fluorinated Wax is banned. It’s bad for the environment and our health. See Rule Book.
> EVENT LOCATION: Woodward Family Cross Course, Mt. Bachelor (Rider’s right of the Rainbow Chair Lift, but you can take Sunrise or skate down to Rainbow if crowded. Park at Sunrise Lodge to be safe.)
> EVENT COSTS: $35 online per event (non-refundable). If you’re 18 or older, or turning 18 this season, please see info below. (Please let us know if finances are difficult, or if you know anyone who is struggling who wants to compete.)
> CHECK-IN & DAY-OF REGISTRATION: Generally, there is no lodge check-in or day-of registration, BUT if you need a bib, we will have a volunteer in the Sunrise Lodge with those. Almost everything is online now. Simply show up for your inspection/practice, time trial, and/or heat on time, and we’ll take roll before heats, and do a mini-rider’s meeting. PLEASE keep traffic & weather in mind (we do get both…2-3 hr traffic last week!).
> AWARDS/MEDALS for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for each age group. Wear Bibs. Awards are usually about an hour after the last rider in the last heat drops. We’ll update you more on our mandatory Zoom Rider’s Meeting and Team App day-of about the times. Take photos + videos of our comps and awards and tag us, @usasasnow and our sponsorship partners, and use #cousasa.

> MINI-RIDERS MEETING: On-course at the start area, day-of in the morning, after practice, before heats, and we’ll do a quick roll call.
> WAIVERS: USASA’s are included with your membership and registration. Mt. Bachelor’s are included with a valid pass product, which is required for all registered riders and volunteers.
> DISCOUNTED DAY PASSES for COMPETITORS & COACHES: Mt Bachelor offers USASA competitors and certified coaches (unless you bring 10 or more athletes, then let us know) lift tickets for: $62 (13+ yrs old), and $52 (6-12 yrs old) via a voucher code that you must pick up from our volunteer at the West Village Lodge, lower level day-of. You will then take the voucher to the Mountain Gateway ticket area for your discounted day pass (it’s a little different for volunteers). Minors must have a parent/guardian complete this process for them. Please also go online to:
www.mtbachelor.com and either create a profile (OR login to your existing profile), input the code for that specific competition day, and sign the waiver(s) to save time day-of. Mt. Bachelor asked to ensure that these vouchers are in compliance with the designated use, and to not attempt pass fraud.
> BIBS: If you’re a brand new USASA Member and haven’t competed yet, you get a Bib. If you’re an existing member and can’t find your bib, lost your bib, or forgot your bib, USASA requires you to purchase them on the Team App. When possible, please let us know ahead of time (on the Rider’s Mtng) if you need to purchase another Bib, and show proof to the volunteer in the lodge the morning of, for pick up. USASA has a $20 fee for lost/forgotten Bibs. Thanks for your understanding. 👍🏽
> SPECTATING: Is allowed, but must be outside the course. Please respect the roped off areas.

> COMPETITIONS, HEATS & FLOW: In general, we’ll have an inspection run, then an open practice in the morning for ALL competitors, have the mini-Rider’s Meeting, do time trials, then we’ll take a quick break and bracket the heats and start racing! Be diligent about showing up on time (or even a little early to be safe) so you don’t miss your practice or race times. We also upload the Competition Schedule on Team App. This is a long day with lots of waiting around, so please be patient and be prepared.
> SAFESPORT: Competitors, volunteers, coaches, officials…if you’re 18 years and older (and/or if you’re turning 18 yrs. old mid-season) you must complete SafeSport per the USOC. (This can take time for the background check to go through, so don’t delay). Follow all the instructions when registering on
www.USASA.org, and get things done and sent promptly if you’re planning to be on course and/or compete. (See below for more SafeSport details, and be sure to follow the steps laid out when becoming a USASA member.)
